Anthony Edwards Leads Wolves to Series Win Over Nuggets
Timberwolves Take 3-1 Advantage in First Round Matchup
The Minnesota Timberwolves seized control of their first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets with a convincing 106-99 victory on Tuesday night. Anthony Edwards led the way for the Wolves with a game-high 30 points, including a crucial three-pointer late in the fourth quarter that helped seal the win.
Edwards Dominates for Wolves
Edwards was on fire from the start, scoring 15 points in the first quarter and keeping the Wolves in the game despite a strong start from the Nuggets. He finished the night shooting 11-of-21 from the field and 4-of-9 from three-point range.
Nuggets Struggle to Keep Pace
The Nuggets struggled to keep up with the Wolves' high-energy offense, especially in the second half. Denver shot just 41.6% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range, while the Wolves shot 48.2% from the field and 40.0% from deep.
Series Shifts to Denver
With the win, the Timberwolves now lead the series 3-1 and will have a chance to close it out in Game 5 on Thursday night in Denver. The Nuggets will need to find a way to slow down Edwards and the Wolves' offense if they want to extend the series.
