Mavs Crush Celtics In Game 4

Mavs crush Celtics in Game 4

The Dallas Mavericks are not getting swept in the 2024 NBA Finals

The Mavs dismantled the Boston Celtics for a 124-87 victory in Game 4 on Friday night, avoiding a sweep and forcing a Game 5 back in Boston.

The 38-point final margin was the third-biggest ever in an NBA Finals game behind only Chicago beating Utah 96-54 in 1998 and the Celtics beating the Los Angeles Lakers by 39 points in 2008.

Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavs with 30 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, while Jalen Brunson added 24 points and Dorian Finney-Smith scored 18.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 23 points, but he was just 7-of-23 from the field. Jaylen Brown added 19 points and Robert Williams III scored 12.

The Celtics still trail 3-1 and no team has ever come back to win an NBA playoff series after losing the first three games 0-for-156.

Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday night in Boston.
