Kyle Tucker Returns to the Lineup Thursday

Astros Outfielder Has Been Out Since July 29 With a Quad Injury

Kyle Tucker is set to return to the Houston Astros' lineup on Thursday after missing the last two weeks with a quad injury. The Astros welcome the Chicago Cubs to town for a four-game series at Minute Maid Park starting Thursday.

Tucker has played in 91 games for the Astros this season, batting .259 with 21 home runs, 55 RBIs, and an OPS of .882. Tucker's return is a welcome boost for the Astros, who are currently in first place in the AL West but are just 4-6 in their last 10 games.

Tucker has been one of the Astros' most consistent hitters this season, and his return should help the team's offense get back on track after struggling in recent weeks. The Astros are averaging just 3.8 runs per game in their last 10 games, and they have been shut out twice in that span.

Tucker's return is also a boost for the Astros' defense. Tucker is a solid defender in right field, and he should help stabilize the team's outfield after some shaky play in recent weeks.

The Astros are hoping that Tucker's return will help them get back on track and win their final 12 games of the regular season. The Astros are currently 87-55, and they are two games ahead of the Los Angeles Angels in the AL West.

Tucker's Injury and Recovery

Tucker suffered a left quad strain on July 29 in the Astros' game against the Cleveland Guardians. Tucker had to be helped off the field after he aggravated the injury while running to first base on a ground ball.

Tucker initially tried to play through the injury, but he was eventually placed on the injured list on August 1. Tucker underwent an MRI, which confirmed the quad strain.

Tucker began his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Sugar Land Skeeters on August 16. Tucker played in two games with the Skeeters, going 2-for-8 with a home run and two RBIs.

Tucker's Return to the Astros

Tucker was activated from the injured list on Thursday and is expected to start in right field against the Cubs. Tucker is excited to be back with the team and is looking forward to contributing to the Astros' success down the stretch.

"I'm feeling good," Tucker said. "I'm excited to be back. I've been working hard to get back on the field, and I'm ready to go."

The Astros are also excited to have Tucker back in the lineup. Tucker is a key part of the team's offense and defense, and his return should help the Astros make a push for another World Series title.
